چکیده
Background: According to WHO-Cervical Cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women. This study evaluated expression of P16 cervical intraepithelial lesion and carcinoma its correlation with tumour grade, age, etc.Material Methods: 106 histopathologically proven Cervical Intraepithelial lesions (CIN) invasive cases were subjected IHC for p16. Result: Most age group involved was 51-60years. Bleeding per vaginum frequent complaint Invasive discharge patients. showed positivity only 7.10% CIN I cases, 30% II 57.10% III majority (81.30%) carcinoma. Conclusion: The increases increasing grades dysplasia (Carcinoma>CIN III> II> I).

Expression of geminin, p16, and Ki67 in cervical intraepithelial neoplasm and normal tissues
Geminin is a protein involved in cell cycle progression. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of geminin expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasm (CIN).The expression of geminin, p16, and Ki67 was examined in 95 samples, including CIN1 (n = 45), CIN2/3 (n = 40), and normal cervical tissues (n = 10) by immunohistochemistry. The correlation between geminin or p16 expression and human ...
متن کاملEvaluation of Ki67, p16 and CK17 Markers in Differentiating Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia and Benign Lesions
Background: Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is a premalignant lesion capable of progressing to cervical cancer. Despite the existing well-defined criteria, the histomorphologic diagnosis is subject to high rates of discordance among pathologists. The aim of this study was to evaluate Ki-67 (MIB-1), CK17 and p16 INK4a (p16) markers by immunohistochemical methods in differentiating CIN f...
متن کاملRisk Factors for Progression of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasm Grade III to Invasive Cervical Cancer1
Data from four case-control studies on invasive cervical cancer and on cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade III (CIN III) that were concurrently conducted in Spain and Colombia were used to look for factors that might favor the progression from CIN III to the invasive stage. These studies were compared in two ways: a case-case comparison and an estimation of the ratio of odds ratios with th...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical assessment of p16, COX-2 and EGFR in HPV-positive cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions.
The protein capsid L1 of the human papilloma virus (HPV) - a key factor in the cervical carcinogenesis - is considered, together with p16, EGFR and COX-2, a characteristic marker for the evaluation of the malignancy progression and prognostic, in terms of tumoral aggressiveness. The purpose of the present study was to make a comparative assessment between the immunohistochemical pattern of p16,...

Background: This research was accomplished to evaluate the IHC expression of p16 (ink4a) and CK17 in low grade cervical intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), high grade cervical intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and invasive cervical carcinomas and to assess their correlation to HPV (16E6+18E6). Methods: The study...
